and The Quality in Careers Standard
Benefits of Membership
By becoming a Member of Careers England your 'careers' business/organisation will be able to call upon a substantial resource of information and support services. You will also become an active part of our organisation and its activities, influencing what we do and how we do it.
Here are some of the benefits you can expect to receive by joining us - all of which - (except the Daily Political and Press Monitoring service shown immediately below), are available to all three classes of membership: Full, Affiliate and Associate Members
Political and Press Monitoring
Daily reports and a weekly bulletin are issued to all Full Members covering all the printed articles from Hansard and national press reporting on issues related to education, skills and policy matters concerning careers education and guidance services for all ages.
Careers England believes that businesses and organisations offering careers advice and guidance to young people and adults should have a powerful voice in future service and policy developments.
Careers England work widely with Government at strategic and influential levels on a range of issues affecting the careers information, advice and guidance services available to people at every stage of their lives.
Networking and Events
You will be able to meet colleagues involved in other Member organisations through serving on one of our four Task Groups (covering services for young people, services for adults, all-age quality issues, and the careers workforce).
Each of these Task Groups involves 'middle managers/practitioners' from Careers England's Membership.
You can share information through the Members Only section of the Careers England website and meet fellow Members at the (usually) twice yearly meetings of Members with the Board and the AGM. In October 2013 we organised our first CEG Summit open to the public as well as members, and over 150 attended. This was repeated in 2014 and our aim is to repeat such events from time to time to meet Members' needs.
Upon becoming a Member of Careers England you will have access to all the latest information, news and strategic developments to keep you at the forefront of the career guidance industry, along with access to a range of useful sites and links through our exclusive Members Only section of this website. As a Member you will also have the opportunity to have a profile of your organisation posted on Our Members page, promoting your organisation to our Members and to the wider public.
On becoming a Member of Careers England you will be automatically registered to receive our regular e-mailings, including our weekly Members E-newsletter.
