Welcome to our new Executive Director!

3rd July 2020 by ceAdmin

Careers England is delighted to announce Kieran Gordon as its new Executive Director. Kieran joins us from Career Connect, where he was Chief Executive for 20 years. Kieran says: “I am delighted to take over the good work of Steve Stewart at Careers England and would like to thank him for his years of service. The need for careers support for individuals has never been greater as we come to terms with the changing world brought about by Covid-19. Careers England will work in partnership with the wider education and skills community to support Government and business in bringing about economic recovery and social justice for all.”

Outgoing Executive Director Steve Stewart said: “I’m delighted that Kieran will be taking over the role of Executive Director of Careers England. Having known him for over 20 years, I know the organisation is not only in safe hands but also has a new leader who will steer the careers sector through the challenges ahead in a visionary and inclusive way.”

Katharine Horler, Chair of Careers England added: “We are very lucky that Kieran will be joining the team in this new capacity and I am absolutely confident that he will take over where Steve has left off and build on the excellent work that Steve has undertaken during his time with Careers England.”
