Careers England research highlights the growing threat to the Careers Sector as it battles to maintain a strong professional workforce due to low levels of State investment in the provision of careers guidance for young people and adults at a national and local level in England.

Well qualified and supported Careers Advisers can make an enormous difference to the young people and adults that they work with, they are well placed to make an important contribution to addressing the skills shortages this country faces so it is ironic that the profession itself faces similar challenges.”
